Investment Banking Associate

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Investment Banking Associate to join their established team in Coventry . This role is crucial in supporting the execution of a wide range of financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, and strategic advisory services. You will work closely with senior bankers, clients, and other advisors, playing a key role in financial modeling, due diligence, and presentation preparation. This is an office-based position demanding dedication and a commitment to delivering exceptional results in the fast-paced world of Banking & Finance .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex financial models, including LBO models, DCF analyses, and accretion/dilution models.
• Conduct thorough company and industry research to support transaction analysis and client pitches.
• Assist in the preparation of client presentations, including pitch books, Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs), and management presentations.
• Manage the due diligence process, coordinating with clients, legal counsel, accountants, and other advisors.
• Support senior bankers in client meetings, negotiations, and transaction execution from origination to closing.
• Monitor market trends and identify potential new business opportunities for the firm.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field from a top-tier university; MBA is a plus.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or a related analytical role.
• Strong quantitative skills, with proven proficiency in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and spreadsheet software (Excel).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas concisely.
• High level of attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive under pressure in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.
