IoT & Connectivity Account Manager / Business Development Hybrid | Competitive Salary + Uncapped Commission + Excellent Benefits An opportunity to combine Account Management with genuine Business Development I’m working with a global connectivity business that is looking to strengthen its IoT sales team with an experienced Account Manager who also has strong Business Development skills. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term customer relationships but, importantly, is also commercially driven, proactive and enjoys winning new business. My client provides IoT connectivity, eSIM, managed mobility and mobile voice and data solutions to businesses across a range of sectors including logistics, healthcare, retail, transport, utilities and security.

The Role

You’ll take responsibility for an established customer portfolio, but this is not simply an account management role. A key part of the position will be identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts, develop strategic relationships and generate new business. You’ll be expected to:

• Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Develop strategic account plans and build relationships with key decision-makers.
• Proactively identify and win new business.
• Generate your own pipeline through prospecting, LinkedIn, networking, referrals and targeted outreach.
• Manage the sales process from initial conversation through to negotiation and close.
• Understand customers' commercial requirements and present the right IoT and connectivity solutions.
• Conduct regular customer reviews and identify future opportunities.
• Work closely with technical, product and operations teams.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline and CRM.

About You

I’m looking for someone who can demonstrate both strong Account Management and Business Development experience. You’ll ideally have:

• A proven track record of growing existing accounts and winning new business.
• A consultative and strategic approach to sales.
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
• The confidence to engage with senior decision-makers.
• Good commercial and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing complex B2B sales.
• A proactive approach to generating your own opportunities.
• Experience using CRM systems and LinkedIn for Business Development. Experience within IoT, telecoms, connectivity, M2M or technology would be a real advantage, although I’m open to hearing from strong B2B sales professionals from other sectors.
