About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and organized IT Helpdesk Administrator to manage their IT support operations in Reading . This role involves overseeing the helpdesk function, ensuring efficient resolution of technical issues for all employees. You will be responsible for managing IT assets, maintaining system records, and providing direct technical support when needed. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of IT systems, and a commitment to providing excellent internal support within the Reading business community. This is a critical role in maintaining the technological backbone of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the IT helpdesk, ensuring timely response to all support requests.
- Manage and maintain IT asset inventory, including hardware and software licenses.
- Provide first and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Train new staff on IT systems and best practices.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for support and maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and end-user computing.
- Experience with IT asset management tools and ticketing systems.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with users and vendors in Reading .
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices is a plus.
