Your New Role
Own and lead the technology function, ensuring it delivers measurable business value. Responsible for leading the Systems team, collaborating with key stakeholders and third-party suppliers to maintain high service standards while driving technology initiatives that support the organisation's strategic objectives.
Technology Operations & Service Management
Oversee and directly manage a broad portfolio of technology services, including cloud-based SaaS and IaaS solutions (Microsoft Azure), enterprise business systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central), data and reporting platforms (Microsoft Fabric and Power BI), and Azure DevOps environments.
Collaborate with strategic IT partners and third-party providers to ensure the effective delivery and ongoing management of infrastructure, end-user computing, networking services, enterprise applications, and digital platforms.User Support & Service Delivery
Ensure the delivery of responsive, high-quality technical support services that enable employees to work effectively and efficiently.
Maintain and continuously improve service performance, ensuring agreed service levels are achieved across all technology platforms and services.Leadership & People Management
Lead, inspire and develop the Systems team, fostering a high-performing culture built on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Manage team workload, resource allocation, skills development and performance management processes to ensure operational effectiveness and professional growth.Project & Change Delivery
Provide leadership and governance for technology projects and business change initiatives, ensuring successful delivery against organisational objectives.Cybersecurity & Compliance
Work closely with operational stakeholders and specialist IT partners to implement and maintain effective cybersecurity controls, risk management frameworks and data protection measures.
Oversee the monitoring of technology environments for security threats and vulnerabilities, coordinating incident response and remediation activities where required.Vendor & Financial Management
Develop and manage strong relationships with technology suppliers and service providers, ensuring value, performance and alignment with business needs.
Take responsibility for the planning, management and optimisation of delegated technology budgets, ensuring effective investment in technology services and solutions. (Future responsibility)Technology Strategy & Transformation
Contribute to the development and execution of the organisation's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with wider business goals and priorities.
Identify opportunities to enhance business performance through technology innovation, digital transformation and emerging technology trends, supporting long-term organisational growth.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Broad technical skills to provide leadership for problem resolution
Excellent relationship management skills (staff and third-party)
Well-organised and good time management
Self-motivated, proactive and fosters drive and motivation in others
Able to balance the need for when to provide acute attention to detail and when to delegate work to others
Able to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment
