IT Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated IT Project Manager to join their technology division based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for the successful delivery of various IT projects, from system implementations to infrastructure upgrades. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of these initiatives, ensuring they meet technical specifications, business requirements, and are completed within stringent deadlines. We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong technical aptitude and excellent organizational skills to drive IT excellence and support the company's digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project schedules , manage resources, and track progress using project management software.
• Oversee the execution of IT projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and technical requirements.
• Identify, assess, and manage IT project risks and develop contingency plans.
• Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, vendors, and business units.
• Ensure all IT projects align with the overall IT strategy and business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an IT Project Manager , managing software development and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies .
• Experience with IT service management (ITSM) principles.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and cybersecurity best practices.
