IT Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Project Manager to join their team in Manchester . This role is crucial for managing the successful execution of IT projects, ensuring they align with business objectives and are delivered on time and within budget. You will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to oversee all phases of the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, excellent organizational skills, and a proven ability to navigate the complexities of IT project delivery in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize IT projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
• Acquire and develop resources, including staffing, by taking end-to-end project lifecycle responsibility.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against these metrics.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors, contractors, and consultants.
• Conduct project post-mortems, identify success factors, and document lessons learned for future projects.

Requirements

• Proven working experience in IT project management , with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Solid organizational skills, excellent time management, and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
