About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled IT Project Manager to join their technology division in Southampton . This role is essential for overseeing the successful delivery of IT projects, from system implementations to infrastructure upgrades, ensuring they meet business needs and technical specifications. You will work collaboratively with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, contributing to the modernisation and efficiency of the organisation's IT landscape through strategic project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalise IT projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, coordinating with internal and external resources.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and cost estimates for IT initiatives.
• Manage project risks and issues, proactively identifying potential problems and developing mitigation strategies.
• Communicate project progress, updates, and challenges effectively to all relevant stakeholders, including IT leadership and business unit representatives.
• Ensure the successful deployment and integration of IT solutions, overseeing testing and user acceptance phases.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing IT projects, including software development, infrastructure, and systems integration.
• Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Proven ability to manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• A relevant IT or project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL) is advantageous.
