IT Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented IT Project Manager to oversee critical technology initiatives for our operations based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is essential for driving the successful implementation of new systems, software upgrades, and infrastructure projects that support our business objectives. You will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively, aligning with strategic IT roadmaps. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects, from conception and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, define milestones, allocate resources, and track progress against established schedules.
• Facilitate communication among IT departments, business units, and third-party vendors to ensure project alignment and resolve issues promptly.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies, implementing contingency plans as needed.
• Ensure all IT projects adhere to security policies, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
• Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and presentations to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex IT projects , including software development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional project management approaches (Waterfall).
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello.
• Strong technical acumen with an understanding of various IT systems, networks, and software development lifecycles.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
