IT Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous IT Project Manager to join their team in Coventry . You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet specified requirements. This role involves close collaboration with IT departments, vendors, and business stakeholders to drive technological advancements and ensure seamless integration of new systems and solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and software development lifecycles, ensuring successful project delivery in a key West Midlands hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects, from initial planning and scope definition to execution, monitoring, and closure in Coventry .
• Coordinate with technical teams, including developers, system administrators, and network engineers, to ensure project objectives are met.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets for all assigned IT initiatives.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing timely and effective mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance, security policies, and industry best practices throughout project execution.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT Project Management , with a focus on software development or infrastructure projects.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, network technologies, and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working within the Coventry area or the wider West Midlands region.
• Relevant IT certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL are a plus.
