About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated IT Project Manager to oversee technology-focused projects in their Cardiff office. This role is crucial for the successful implementation of IT infrastructure, software development, and digital transformation initiatives. You will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This is an on-site position that requires a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of the IT landscape, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and finalize IT projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Acquire and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and software.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and communicate changes and progress to all stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, ensuring contract compliance and service delivery.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for IT projects.
Requirements
- Solid experience as an IT Project Manager with a proven track record of managing complex IT projects.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle, and cybersecurity principles.
- Familiarity with various project management methodologies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
