About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and technically minded IT Support Technician Apprentice to join their busy IT department in Belfast . This role provides an excellent foundation for a career in IT support, offering hands-on experience with hardware, software, and network troubleshooting. You will be responsible for providing first-line support to employees, resolving technical issues efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.
- Assist with user account management and access control.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
Requirements
- A strong interest in IT and a desire to pursue a career in technical support.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and common software applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
