IT Support Technician Apprentice

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and technically minded IT Support Technician Apprentice to join their busy IT department in Belfast . You will be responsible for providing first-line support to employees, resolving technical issues efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.
• Assist with user account management and access control.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.

Requirements

• A strong interest in IT and a desire to pursue a career in technical support.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and common software applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
