About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Java Developer to join their innovative technology team in Bradford . This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications that are integral to the company's core business operations. You will work within a collaborative and agile environment, contributing to the full software development lifecycle and tackling challenging technical problems. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy robust server-side applications using Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews , providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and system enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience developing applications with Java .
- Proficiency with the Spring framework, particularly Spring Boot.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Good understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum.
