Java Engineer - building Systematic Technology

You are building systems that sit right next to live trading decisions. You will be part of a small engineering team, which means you own what you build. There is no large layer of developers to hide behind. You write it, you ship it, you are responsible for it. That kind of ownership is hard to find in a larger organisation, and here it comes as standard.

Day to day you are writing Java across systems that support trading operations. The closer you get to the trading side of a business, the more interesting the engineering tends to get, and this role puts you right there.

The firm is growing into new markets right now, so you are joining at a moment where the technical roadmap is genuinely being shaped. Your input will carry weight.

You are working inside a quant trading firm that is actively expanding into new asset classes, which means the problems are evolving, the stakes are real, and the work you ship actually matters to the business in a direct and immediate way.

Hybrid working is part of the package, giving you the flexibility to structure your week in a way that works for you.

You will need strong Java skills and experience with Kotlin and ideally experience with Kafka streaming to hit the ground running. The interview process runs to three stages, which is straightforward and respectful of your time.
