Junior Accountant

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their finance team, offering a fully remote working arrangement to candidates potentially located near Norwich . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for an individual looking to build a career in accounting and gain exposure to various aspects of financial operations. You will support the senior accounting team with daily tasks, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a remote setting and is eager to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Process invoices and assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial reports.
• Help with data entry and the organization of financial documents.
• Assist senior accountants with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or relevant AAT qualification.
• Some prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is advantageous.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills, suitable for remote work .
