About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and alert Junior Air Traffic Controller to join their operations team based in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will work closely with experienced controllers and aviation authorities to ensure seamless operations and uphold the highest standards of safety. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage air traffic movements within designated airspace using advanced radar and communication systems.
• Issue clear and concise instructions to pilots to ensure safe separation of aircraft.
• Coordinate with other air traffic control units and relevant stakeholders to manage traffic flow.
• Maintain constant vigilance and situational awareness to anticipate and respond to potential conflicts.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and unusual situations in accordance with established protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and performance evaluations to maintain certification and proficiency.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Air Traffic Control training program.
• Possession of a valid Air Traffic Controller license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations, meteorology, and aircraft performance.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
