About the Role
Our client, a leading international law firm with an office in Reading , is actively seeking an ambitious Junior Associate to join their prestigious Corporate Finance practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career lawyer to gain exposure to high-value, complex transactions and work alongside some of the industry's top legal minds. You will be involved in advising clients on a wide spectrum of financing matters, including debt and equity capital markets, leveraged finance, and restructuring. This role demands a strong academic background and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior lawyers in advising clients on a variety of corporate finance transactions, including debt issuance, equity offerings, and syndicated loans.
- Draft, review, and negotiate finance agreements, security documents, and other legal instruments.
- Conduct legal due diligence on companies and assets as part of financing transactions.
- Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of legal opinions and advice on regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to knowledge management and practice development initiatives.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in corporate law, finance, or banking from a reputable firm.
- 0-3 years of post-qualification experience in corporate finance or a related field.
- Strong understanding of finance law and transactional processes.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage deadlines.
- A proactive approach and strong client-facing skills are essential.
