Junior Buyer

Successful engineering business require a Junior Buyer. Applicants need procurement, purchasing or supply chain experience, ideally within a manufacturing/engineering business and ideally have previous MRP/ERP exposure.

The Junior Buyer will join a small procurement team reporting to the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager. The role will focus on operational purchasing tasks - managing the purchase order process, expediting, and monitoring inventory levels, ensuring continuity of supply to the business.

Specific duties of the Junior Buyer include:

Management of purchase order process Relationship building with suppliers and performance monitoring Expediting Monitoring of inventory levels Liaison with technical and sales colleagues

Junior Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

Previous Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain experience, ideally in the capacity of Buyer, Junior Buyer, Purchasing Assistant, Procurement Administrator, Expeditor, materials planning, logistics etc Experience using an MRP/ERP system, or strong MS Excel skills Excellent communicator and relationship builder Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week
