Junior Chemical Engineer - Production Support

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Chemical Engineer to join their production support team in Norwich . Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues on the plant floor.
• Support process monitoring, data collection, and basic analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in safety audits and help ensure adherence to all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
• Help prepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch records.
• Engage in continuous improvement projects, such as waste reduction or energy efficiency initiatives.
• Gain practical experience with various unit operations and chemical processes within the facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• Limited to 2 years of relevant experience, internships, or co-op placements in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Basic understanding of chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass transfer.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities, with a proactive attitude.
