About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Chemical Engineer to join their production support team in Norwich . Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues on the plant floor.
- Support process monitoring, data collection, and basic analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in safety audits and help ensure adherence to all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
- Help prepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch records.
- Engage in continuous improvement projects, such as waste reduction or energy efficiency initiatives.
- Gain practical experience with various unit operations and chemical processes within the facility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
- Limited to 2 years of relevant experience, internships, or co-op placements in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Basic understanding of chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass transfer.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and environmental regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities, with a proactive attitude.
