Junior Chemical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking an enthusiastic and bright Junior Chemical Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh . You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, assisting in process design, data analysis, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the design and development of chemical processes and equipment.
• Conduct data collection, analysis, and interpretation for process optimization and troubleshooting.
• Prepare technical documentation, including reports, calculations, and P&IDs under supervision.
• Support pilot plant operations and assist in the scale-up of new processes.
• Participate in safety reviews and hazard identification exercises.
• Learn and apply chemical engineering principles and best practices in a practical setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Strong understanding of fundamental chemical engineering principles.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with process simulation software is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive attitude towards learning.
• Eagerness to work on-site in Edinburgh and develop practical engineering skills.
