Junior Chemical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Junior Chemical Engineer to join their technical team in Reading . Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the design, development, and implementation of chemical processes.
• Support process monitoring, data collection, and basic analysis for operational improvements.
• Participate in plant troubleshooting and assist in identifying root causes of issues.
• Help prepare process documentation, including P&IDs and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct literature reviews and basic research for new process technologies.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and assist with safety inspections.

Requirements

• BEng or MEng degree in Chemical Engineering .
• Strong academic record with a foundational understanding of chemical engineering principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; basic knowledge of simulation software is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively in a team.
• Eagerness to learn and develop new technical skills.
