Junior Chemical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Chemical Engineer to join their growing team in Bradford . You will support senior engineers on various projects, contributing to the development and improvement of chemical processes while learning best practices in a supportive, hybrid work setting. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in developing process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Conduct basic process calculations, including mass and energy balances.
• Support pilot plant operations and data collection during process trials.
• Help troubleshoot minor process issues and document findings.
• Participate in site visits and assist with equipment installation and commissioning activities.
• Contribute to safety reviews and environmental compliance checks.

Requirements

• BEng or MEng degree in Chemical Engineering .
• Strong understanding of fundamental chemical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with process simulation software is a plus.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model from our Bradford office and contribute to team goals.
