About the Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Chemical Engineer to join their expanding team in Bradford, West Yorkshire . This is an excellent entry-level position for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to build a strong foundation in chemical process design and operations. You will work closely with senior engineers on various projects, gaining hands-on experience in process analysis, design support, and operational troubleshooting. This role offers a comprehensive learning experience and the opportunity to develop key skills in a supportive environment, contributing to the development and optimization of chemical processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in the design, development, and modification of chemical processes and equipment.
- Support process data collection, analysis, and reporting for ongoing projects.
- Participate in plant trials and operational troubleshooting activities under supervision.
- Contribute to the creation and updating of process documentation, including P&IDs and operating manuals.
- Conduct literature reviews and research on new technologies relevant to company operations.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and environmental policies during all activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Basic understanding of core chemical engineering principles (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat/mass transfer).
- Familiarity with process simulation software is a plus, but not essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and develop practical engineering skills.
- Good communication and teamwork capabilities.
