About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Chemical Engineer to join their established team in Portsmouth . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of chemical process design, operation, and optimization. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to exciting projects and developing a strong foundation in chemical engineering principles within our Portsmouth facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the design and development of chemical processes and equipment.
• Conduct process simulations and calculations to support design and operational improvements.
• Participate in site surveys, process monitoring, and data collection activities.
• Help prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations.
• Support the investigation of operational issues and contribute to the implementation of solutions.
• Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong theoretical understanding of fundamental chemical engineering concepts.
• Proficiency with basic engineering software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
