Junior Data Analyst Trainee

About the Role

Our client is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join their team as a Junior Data Analyst Trainee in Edinburgh . This apprenticeship is designed to equip you with the skills needed to interpret complex data sets and derive meaningful insights. You will work alongside experienced analysts, learning how to collect, clean, analyse, and visualise data to support business decisions. This role offers a challenging yet rewarding path into the field of data analytics, providing you with practical experience and a strong educational foundation within our Edinburgh office.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting and cleaning data from various sources.
• Perform basic data analysis using tools like Excel, SQL, or Python.
• Help generate reports and visualisations to present findings to stakeholders.
• Support senior analysts in developing data models and statistical analyses.
• Learn and apply data governance and quality assurance principles.

Requirements

• A strong aptitude for numbers and analytical thinking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential; basic SQL or Python knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English, or equivalent.
