Junior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team in Derby, Derbyshire, UK . This role is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain broad experience across various electrical engineering disciplines. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to design, development, testing, and implementation tasks. We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundational knowledge of electrical principles and a keen desire to learn and develop professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the design and development of electrical systems and components.
• Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation using CAD software.
• Support the testing and validation of electrical prototypes and systems.
• Conduct site visits and assist with the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Perform basic electrical calculations and data analysis under supervision.
• Help troubleshoot technical issues and document findings and proposed solutions.
• Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures in Derby .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit theory and power systems.
• Familiarity with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented attitude.
