About the Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team based in Glasgow . This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a practical, office-based environment. You will support senior engineers in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components. Working alongside experienced mentors, you will develop your skills in a collaborative setting, contributing to diverse projects. The role requires a keen interest in electrical engineering principles and a commitment to learning and professional development within a structured team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in the design and drafting of electrical schematics and layouts.
- Support the testing and validation of electrical components and systems, documenting results.
- Conduct basic research on electrical components and materials to support design decisions.
- Help troubleshoot electrical issues under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Maintain project documentation and assist with the preparation of technical reports.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to design discussions and problem-solving sessions.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Foundational knowledge of electrical engineering principles and components.
- Familiarity with CAD software is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, required for daily interaction in the Glasgow office.
