About the Role

Our client is searching for a creative and aspiring Junior Graphic Designer Apprentice to join their marketing and creative services team in Portsmouth . This is an excellent opportunity for a budding designer to develop their skills under experienced professionals, working on a variety of visual assets. You will learn industry-standard design software and contribute to branding, marketing materials, and digital content. This hybrid role combines in-office creative collaboration with remote flexibility, allowing for a dynamic and productive work experience in Portsmouth .

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in creating visual concepts, graphics, and layouts for marketing materials, websites, and social media.
• Use design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to develop and refine artwork.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Learn and apply brand guidelines consistently across all design outputs.
• Support the preparation of final artwork files for print and digital production.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions and idea generation for creative projects.

Requirements

• A passion for graphic design and a strong visual sense.
• Basic knowledge of design principles and colour theory.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Good communication skills and ability to take creative direction.
• Must be eligible to undertake an apprenticeship in the UK.
• A portfolio showcasing design work (even personal projects) is a plus.
