We're recruiting a Junior Heat Pump Installation Engineer for a growing renewable energy specialist delivering high-quality heat pump installations across London and the South East.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior heating or plumbing engineer who wants to build a long-term career in renewables, working alongside experienced engineers on bespoke air source and ground source heat pump systems. Elite Renewables designs and installs heat pumps, solar, battery storage and MVHR systems across the region, with a strong focus on tailored system design and quality installation.

The Role

Assist with installation of air source and ground source heat pumps Install cylinders, pumps, valves and associated heating equipment Support pipework, radiator and heating system upgrades Assist with flushing, filling and pressure testing systems Work from drawings and installation specifications Support commissioning and system handover Maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety Learn from experienced renewable heating engineers Develop knowledge across MVHR, solar and wider renewable systems

The Candidate

Plumbing, heating or mechanical engineering background NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent qualification desirable Some experience working on domestic heating systems Strong practical and problem-solving ability Keen to develop a career in heat pumps and renewable heating Good customer-facing skills Full UK driving licence Heat pump experience advantageous but not essential

Package

£30,000-£38,000 basic depending on experience Company van and fuel card Pension 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays Manufacturer and heat pump training Uniform and PPE Ongoing technical development Excellent progression

The Opportunity

This role is designed for someone who already has the fundamentals of heating or plumbing but needs the opportunity to develop into a fully competent Heat Pump Engineer.

You'll receive hands-on experience with bespoke installations and structured development across modern renewable technologies. The company operates across heat pumps, solar, batteries, air conditioning and MVHR, giving you plenty of scope to broaden your skills over time.

Progression: Junior Heat Pump Engineer → Heat Pump Installation Engineer → Senior / Lead Engineer → Supervisor / Project Manager
