Junior Industrial Engineer - Manufacturing Processes

About the Role

Our client is seeking an ambitious Junior Industrial Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Sheffield . You will work closely with senior engineers, learning and applying Lean Manufacturing principles and data analysis techniques in a dynamic production environment. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in analyzing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
• Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as 5S, Kaizen events, and value stream mapping.
• Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
• Help develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving activities related to production issues.
• Assist in the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Zero to two years of experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, eager to learn and contribute in a Sheffield -based facility.
