Junior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Industrial Engineer to join their growing team in Brighton . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate passionate about optimizing manufacturing processes and applying theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. You will work closely with senior engineers, gaining hands-on experience in process analysis, data collection, and implementing improvements. This role is designed to provide comprehensive training and mentorship in the field of industrial engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in data collection and analysis for process improvement initiatives.
• Support the development and implementation of lean manufacturing tools and techniques on the shop floor.
• Conduct time studies and gather information on production workflows and operational efficiency.
• Help in creating and updating process documentation, including standard operating procedures.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects under guidance.
• Provide general engineering support to the production and engineering departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• A strong understanding of fundamental industrial engineering principles and methodologies.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions accurately in Brighton .
