About the Role
Our client is seeking a bright and enthusiastic Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing engineering department in Leeds . This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience across a variety of mechanical design and development projects. You will work closely with senior engineers, contributing to the design, analysis, and testing of new products and systems. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using industry-standard software.
- Support the execution of design verification and validation testing.
- Contribute to technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and test procedures.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas for design improvements.
- Learn and apply engineering principles to solve practical problems encountered during projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) is highly desirable.
- Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
