Junior Network Engineer Apprentice (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and technically inclined Junior Network Engineer Apprentice to join their IT infrastructure team, working entirely remotely. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in network design, implementation, and maintenance within a dynamic, technology-driven company. You will learn from experienced network engineers, supporting the development and upkeep of our network systems. Working from home, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our network infrastructure, supporting our distributed workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Support the implementation of network security measures.
• Learn and document network configurations and procedures.
• Assist in managing network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Respond to network alerts and incidents in a timely manner.

Requirements

• A strong interest in computer networking and IT infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
