Certain Advantage is hiring for aJunior Plant Mechanic / Technician, based within a commutable distance to Chesterfield. This is a permanent, full-time position primarily based at the depot, working closely alongside the workshop team and senior fitters.

The Company:
We are working with a leading specialist engineering contractor, providing innovative solutions on technically challenging civil, geotechnical, and structural projects across the UK.
The Role:
You will focus on routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and repair of a variety of heavy plant equipment.
Day to day you will:

• Carry out routine servicing, basic mechanical repairs, and preventative maintenance on workshop plant.
• Work across a broad mix of machinery, including small engines, compressors, track dumpers, excavators, hydraulic drills, and winches.
• Assist senior fitters with basic fault diagnostics across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Accompany senior fitters on occasional site visits to gain hands-on field experience. xwwtmva

The Individual:
We are open to candidates from a variety of mechanical backgrounds. We are looking for people who can show:
