Junior Process Chemist

About the Role

You will support senior chemists in the development, optimisation, and scale-up of chemical processes, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive and challenging environment. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior chemists in the execution of laboratory experiments for process development and optimisation.
• Prepare reaction mixtures, monitor reaction progress, and perform basic analytical tests.
• Document experimental procedures, results, and observations meticulously in lab notebooks.
• Learn and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safe laboratory practice and chemical handling.
• Support the scale-up of chemical processes from laboratory to pilot plant, under supervision.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean and organised working environment.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Basic understanding of organic chemistry and reaction mechanisms.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and procedures.
• Strong desire to learn and develop skills in process chemistry.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a laboratory team.
