Junior Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Junior Process Engineer to join their innovative manufacturing team in Derby . This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level engineer to gain hands-on experience in optimising manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and contributing to product quality. You will work closely with senior engineers, production staff, and quality control teams to analyse production data, implement process improvements, and assist in the development of new manufacturing techniques. This role is designed for individuals eager to learn and grow within a dynamic industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the analysis of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
• Support senior engineers in the development and implementation of new production methods and technologies.
• Conduct process trials and experiments, collecting and analysing data to evaluate performance.
• Help to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions under supervision.
• Maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
