Junior Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Process Engineer to join their operational team in Norwich, Norfolk . This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate eager to apply their academic knowledge in a practical industrial setting. You will support senior engineers in the design, monitoring, and optimization of chemical processes, gaining invaluable hands-on experience. Working on-site, you will be an integral part of ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our plant operations in Norwich , contributing to a supportive and learning-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in process data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Support the troubleshooting of minor process issues under supervision.
• Help maintain process documentation, including P&IDs and operating procedures.
• Participate in safety walks and assist in hazard identification.
• Learn and apply process control principles and instrumentation basics.
• Support the implementation of small-scale process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• Strong foundational knowledge of chemical engineering principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of process safety principles is a plus.
