About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Process Engineer to join their growing team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK . This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in process design, optimization, and troubleshooting within a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will work closely with senior engineers, contributing to projects that improve operational efficiency and product quality. The role offers a structured development path, mentorship, and the chance to build a strong foundation in chemical engineering principles and practical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in the design and modification of chemical processes and equipment.
- Support data collection and analysis for process performance monitoring and improvement initiatives.
- Participate in troubleshooting activities to resolve production issues and ensure operational continuity.
- Prepare technical documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and process reports.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to gather information and assess process conditions.
- Learn and apply various chemical engineering principles to practical operational challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Strong understanding of fundamental chemical engineering principles.
- Familiarity with process simulation software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a practical engineering setting.
