Junior Solicitor - Family Law

About the Role

Our client is seeking an ambitious and empathetic Junior Solicitor to join their dedicated Family Law department in Southampton . You will assist senior solicitors in managing a varied caseload, including divorce, child arrangements, and financial settlements, whilst developing your own client-handling skills. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior lawyers in handling divorce proceedings, child custody disputes, and financial remedy applications.
• Conduct legal research and prepare necessary documentation for court hearings.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide initial legal advice.
• Liaise with opposing parties, their solicitors, and relevant agencies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and case files.

Requirements

• Newly Qualified Solicitor with a focus or strong interest in Family Law.
• A law degree (LLB) and Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client care skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Demonstrated understanding of family law principles and procedures.
