About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Telecoms Engineer to contribute to their growing technical department in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual with foundational knowledge in telecommunications who is eager to learn and develop their career. You will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining practical experience in network support, system maintenance, and project implementation within the vibrant Milton Keynes tech scene. The role offers a blend of office-based learning and on-site project involvement, fostering a comprehensive understanding of modern telecommunications technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and testing of telecommunications equipment and systems.
• Provide first-level technical support for network-related issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Support senior engineers in network maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities.
• Monitor network performance and identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
• Participate in the documentation of network configurations and operational procedures.
• Learn and apply industry best practices in telecoms engineering and network management.

Requirements

• A degree or relevant qualification in Telecommunications, IT, or a related engineering field.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts , protocols (TCP/IP), and telecommunications hardware.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
