Junior UX/UI Designer Apprentice

About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and user-focused Junior UX/UI Designer Apprentice to join their innovative product development team in Bristol . This role is an exceptional entry point for individuals passionate about creating intuitive and engaging digital experiences. You will work alongside experienced designers, learning to translate user needs into seamless interfaces for websites and applications. The apprenticeship offers hands-on experience with design tools, user research methodologies, and prototyping, within a collaborative team environment that blends office presence with remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in user research activities to understand user needs and behaviours.
• Help create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups for user interfaces.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to refine user flows and design concepts.
• Support the development of design systems and style guides.
• Gain proficiency in UX/UI design software such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Contribute to usability testing and gather feedback for design improvements.

Requirements

• A strong interest in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.
• Basic understanding of design principles and usability concepts.
• A portfolio demonstrating design thinking and creative problem-solving (personal projects welcome).
• Familiarity with design software is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
