About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and eager Junior Web Developer Apprentice to join their innovative tech team based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This apprenticeship offers a unique pathway into the world of software development, where you will learn to build and maintain responsive websites and web applications. Working closely with experienced developers, you will gain practical skills in front-end and back-end technologies, contributing to exciting projects. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, coding, and testing of new user-facing features.
• Develop and maintain functional, accessible, and user-friendly websites and web applications.
• Collaborate with senior developers to troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
• Learn and apply best practices in coding, version control (e.g., Git), and project management.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and gather requirements.
• Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and support materials.

Requirements

• A genuine interest in web development and a foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages.
• Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths, or equivalent.
