This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in internal sales, customer service, sales support or order processing who enjoys working in a busy, commercially focused environment.
The role is predominantly inbound and account support focused. You will work closely with customers and the wider sales team, responding to enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders and ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate and professional service.
You do not need previous experience within cables or technical products. Product and system training will be provided. What is more important is your ability to communicate confidently, manage a busy workload, work accurately and take responsibility for getting things done.
The Role
As Sales Account Specialist, you will be responsible for managing incoming customer enquiries and ensuring quotations and orders are handled efficiently from initial request through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
Responding to incoming customer enquiries by telephone and email
Preparing and issuing customer quotations
Processing customer purchase orders quickly and accurately
Managing RFQs and general account enquiries
Updating customer and order information accurately within internal systems
Following up outstanding quotations and live opportunities
Liaising with customers regarding orders, stock availability and delivery queries
Working with suppliers to source products when required
Liaising with internal supply chain, warehouse and sales teams
Identifying straightforward opportunities to provide additional or complementary products
Maintaining high standards of customer communication throughout the order process
Managing multiple enquiries and priorities within a fast-paced working environment
What We Are Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, reliability and approach to work.
You are likely to be successful if you:
Have experience within customer service, internal sales, sales support, order processing or a similar customer-facing role
Are confident and comfortable speaking with customers on the telephone
Can manage a high volume of emails, enquiries and tasks without becoming overwhelmed
Work accurately and pay close attention to detail
Are organised and able to prioritise competing demands
Take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion
Are comfortable asking questions when you do not know the answer
Have a positive, resilient and dependable approach to work
Enjoy being part of a busy team environment
Are comfortable learning new products, systems and terminology
Previous experience within electrical, engineering, industrial, construction, manufacturing, distribution or technical products would be advantageous but is not essential.
The Person
Ultimately, we are looking for someone who can become a trusted and dependable member of the team.
You do not need to arrive knowing every product or piece of technical terminology. You do need to be someone who turns up, gets involved, learns quickly, communicates confidently and can consistently work through a busy workload without compromising accuracy or customer service.
If you are looking for a stable permanent opportunity where your performance will be recognised and there is genuine scope to develop your career, we would be keen to hear from you
