Key Stage 2 Teacher

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to pupils aged 7-11, fostering their academic and personal growth within a supportive classroom environment. This role requires a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning, effective classroom management, and the ability to inspire a love for learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the curriculum for this age group and a passion for making a difference in children's education.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum .
• Create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
• Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
• Manage pupil behaviour effectively, promoting positive conduct and mutual respect.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links and share best teaching practices.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding pupil progress and well-being.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 .
• A thorough understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching.
