Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and portioning ingredients.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Ensure all work surfaces and cooking areas are kept clean and sanitized throughout the day.
• Support chefs and cooks by providing necessary ingredients and equipment.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policy.
• Follow all instructions from senior kitchen staff regarding food safety and preparation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices is a plus.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in our Norwich location.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items.
