Are you practical, dependable and looking for a hands-on role with a growing company?
We’re currently recruiting for a Kitchen Extraction Technician to join our expanding team in the West Midlands.
This is a practical, active role where you’ll visit commercial premises and ensure kitchen extraction systems are thoroughly cleaned, maintained and inspected. You’ll work primarily during the night, when restaurants and commercial kitchens are closed, and will usually work as part of a small team.
The Role
As a Kitchen Extraction Technician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out specialist cleaning and maintenance work across a variety of commercial sites, including restaurants, pubs, hotels, care homes and other businesses.
Your duties will include:
- Cleaning commercial kitchen extraction and grease-duct systems.
- Deep-cleaning canopies, filters, fans and associated equipment.
- Removing grease, carbon deposits and other contaminants.
- Using specialist cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
- Working at height where necessary and using suitable access equipment.
- Carrying out inspections and identifying potential defects or safety issues.
- Completing job sheets, inspection records and digital reports.
- Taking before-and-after photographs of completed work.
- Following company procedures and relevant industry standards, including TR19 where applicable.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and cleanliness.
- Representing the company professionally when working on customer premises.
- Keeping company equipment and vehicles clean, secure and in good working condition.
- Working effectively alongside another technician as part of a two-person team.
When & Where You’ll Work
The majority of our work takes place at night , allowing us to work safely and efficiently while commercial kitchens are closed.
You’ll mainly be working across the West Midlands , with most jobs involving local travel. There may occasionally be longer journeys or overnight stays depending on the requirements of the business.
A full UK driving licence is preferred .
