About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to assist with maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our food service, ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment for the entire culinary team. You will be responsible for dishwashing, cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces, and supporting chefs with basic food preparation tasks. The ideal candidate is physically fit, possesses a strong work ethic, and understands the importance of hygiene in a professional kitchen setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and properly store all dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
• Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks as required, such as chopping vegetables or portioning ingredients.
• Receive deliveries and ensure stock is stored correctly.
• Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the kitchen area in Stoke-on-Trent .

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
