Key Responsibilities

• Wash and clean dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans, ensuring they are sanitized and ready for use.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables and simple chopping.
• Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company and environmental policies .
• Support the kitchen team by delivering ingredients and equipment as required.
• Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations .

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar cleaning role is a plus, but not essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong understanding of hygiene and sanitation principles.
• Physically fit and capable of standing for long periods and lifting moderate loads.
• A reliable and punctual work ethic.
• Willingness to follow instructions and work collaboratively with the team in Reading .
