About the Role

Our client is seeking a hardworking and dependable Kitchen Porter to support the culinary team at a thriving restaurant in Bristol . You will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring that all equipment and areas are kept to the highest standards of hygiene. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of the kitchen and provides an excellent entry point into the hospitality industry for motivated individuals.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and properly store all dishes, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and storage areas.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables and portioning ingredients.
• Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company and local regulations.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff by replenishing supplies and ensuring all necessary equipment is readily available.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar cleaning or support role is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to assist the kitchen team wherever needed.
• Understanding of and commitment to following hygiene and safety procedures.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential for this role in Bristol .
