Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting a KS1 Classroom Teaching Assistant to work on a temporary, ongoing supply basis across a variety of welcoming primary schools throughout Doncaster.

This KS1 Classroom Teaching Assistant opportunity focuses on providing whole-class support within Key Stage 1 classrooms. Working as a KS1 Classroom Teaching Assistant in Doncaster, you will support teachers and pupils throughout Years 1 and 2, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Position: KS1 Classroom Teaching Assistant

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: £92.56 - £95 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

Working as a KS1 Classroom Teaching Assistant in Doncaster, you will provide general classroom support rather than being assigned solely to one pupil. You will work alongside the class teacher to help pupils access learning and remain engaged throughout the school day.

The KS1 Classroom Teaching Assistant role in Doncaster may include supporting whole-class activities, working with small groups and providing additional assistance to individual pupils where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide whole-class support across KS1
• Assist with learning activities and classroom routines
• Support small groups and individual pupils where required
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
• Assist with classroom organisation and preparation
• Follow safeguarding procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working with children within a school or childcare setting
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
• Understanding of supporting pupils within KS1
• Positive, patient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
