About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join a thriving primary school in Nottingham . This role involves creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment for pupils aged 5-7, fostering their early development across all curriculum areas. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress, and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high standard of education. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early years and Key Stage 1 education, with excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to nurturing young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum .
- Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active learning and curiosity.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
- Manage pupil behaviour effectively, promoting positive attitudes and social skills.
- Collaborate with other KS1 teachers and support staff to ensure continuity and progression in learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding pupil progress and well-being.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 .
- A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment requirements for this age group.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A commitment to inclusive education and fostering a love of learning.
